Boat Adventures

After my swim meet, we went boating!  I was so excited.  I think it's so much fun and am so happy my dad got a boat this summer!  He likes it for the fishing, but we like it for the tubing and wakeboarding.  Sophie was really apprehensive last time and wouldn't get in the water or do any tubing.  Today thought, Grandma wore her swim suit so she got in the tube and loved it!  We putted around for a long while and she thought it was so much fun!

We took lots of turns with the tube.  I'm sure my dad was a bit board going so slow but it was perfect for Sophie!

Then we got in and swam.  Now this was a good time.  Sophie did NOT want to get back in the boat.  It took some major coaxing and she just wanted to get back in!  

I did some wakeboarding and Kale tried and got close but couldn't get up.  I am not a great teacher but I know he'll be able to do it next year.  He's an awesome snowboarder!  I can only wakeboard for a little bit because it makes my muscles SO TIRED.  I'm just out of shape I guess!

Swim Meet

This summer I swam with a competitive swim team.  I was the only "old lady" (aka Master) on the team which made it kind of interesting.  I sure felt old swimming against those high-schoolers!  I just love to swim though and felt so great on days I went to practice.  We had an inter-squad swim meet and I swam the 200IM and 100Back.  It was fun!  

Sophie had fun watching and my mom even came!  Now THAT brings back lots of memories!  I hope Sophie will love swimming as much as I did!

4-Wheeling

Grandma let us borrow the 4-wheeler...  well it actually got left over here and we took advantage of it since we live by some awesome dirt roads.  Sophie loves the four wheeler and my parents even bought a special seat for her so she's safe.

Sophie loves braids.  She asks for one every day.  Lately, she's wanted the braid out with the rest of her hair back.  Not my first choice of hairstyle, but she'll just pull the little braid out anyway, ha!  She's so particular sometimes!  Love her!

Lagoon.... again!

Our summer has been very repetitious but very fun!  We went to Lagoon again today!  We spent most our time in kiddieland.  It never gets old!  Sophie loves it!

Pool Day

Sophie has gotten a lot more comfortable with the water throughout the summer.  She still won't put her head under.  Even when she jumps in, she arches her back so it doesn't have to go under water.  She wont put her head under in the bathtub at home even!  I got some goggles to show her how fun it could be but she just wore them until they fogged up, ha!  

It was a little bit of a dramatic day.  She sure can get a little attitude quickly!  I guess it's a girl thing... or maybe a 3-4 year old thing.  Anyway, she's got it mastered!

Lagoon

We love our season passes to Lagoon because it means we can just go for a few hours here and there.  Even though it was a hot day, we headed down to take advantage of me having the day off!  

Sophie loves the rides.  She's not quite tall enough to do anything big, except the scrambler and a few others.  She likes those (even though I want to throw up on them!)

Look mom, no hands!

Her favorite ride of all time is Bom Bora.  I wish it was longer... literally it's got to be like 15 seconds long.  She loves it, therefore we end up getting back in line over and over!  

Lagoon wouldn't be complete without spending an arm and a leg on concessions!  Today we tried a snow-cone and it was a big hit!

North Shore Pool

I talked my mom into coming to the pool to swim with us.  It was fun!  Sophie just LOVES her Grandma!

It got kind of windy so we didn't stay long today.  We have loved being able to go swimming so much this summer!
