6yr Anniversary

Kale and I had our 6-year anniversary on June 23 (Monday).  The cousins were over so we waited a few days to celebrate.  We went out to eat for our date tonight.  Emma came with us, but it was still so much fun.  I love Kale and think he is just the best husband and dad a woman could ever ask for!

Cousins

We had the cousins over.  It wasn't planned but we were excited when we got it all worked out!  Can you believe I got four little girls and myself ready for church and we were pretty much on-time?!

Monday we went to Lagoon.  I must be crazy - I was outnumbered!  

The girls had lots of fun on the rides.  I mostly watched/directed.

Emma was such a good girl as always.  She really just goes with the flow.  We love her so much.

The cousins loved Emma and I appreciated the help from Lex!

We had a yummy lunch packed and after a short break we were back at it!

We stayed at Lagoon for five and a half hours.  It may have been longer but my flip-flop broke!!

The next day, Tuesday, I was still crazy.  After a fun visit from my Pals, Whit and Em, we packed up and went to the pool! 

The girls had a blast and I loved that Sophie was more independent.  We had yummy snacks and hung out there for almost three hours!  I wore Emma in my mesh swim wrap but she still didn't love the water and sun.  

We had a fun three+ days and were so glad we could have the cousins over!

June Update

I got a new vacuum.  I love it!  I had a Dyson before and would recommend them a million times over.  My mom needed a vacuum so she got my old orange one and I got this new purple one.  How exciting!  Only a mom/wife would get excited about a vacuum haha.

We went to lagoon with Kale's good bud and his family.  It was so much fun for Sophie and Emma was an angel, of course.

2 months!

Emma is two months old, can you believe it!  We love her.  We moved her into her big carseat.  I LOVE it.

Sophie is such a great big sister and Emma just loves her.

She is such a beautiful baby!  Gosh I love her.

We had her two month well child appointment today!  What a big day.  She is 23.6 inches long (88th percentile) and 11lb 5 oz (66th percentile).  That's two whole pounds less than Sophie was at this age, wow!  She did great for her shots and besides taking a long nap, she hasnt been fussy at all.  We love her so much.  She is seriously the BEST baby.  I can't even believe it some days.  She is just happy and so sweet!  She nurses great: she eats every 3-4 hours around the clock.  She loves to be held and cuddled.  She loves being in the bouncer.  She wears size 3 months and size 2 diapers.  She loves bath time.  She sleeps next to me in a rock n play (as of yesterday).  I am so lucky to have this sweet baby in our family.  We are so blessed!

Camping

It's hard to coordinate 9 people's schedule... but we made it work and planned a (short) camping trip to East canyon.  It was a ton of fun!

So when we got there, there was a tent up and a fire going in our slot.  Normally I wouldn't care but we paid $$ for this campground and the others were full when we lasted checked the reservation!  I was ready for a fight if need be, haha.  The people came and acted dumb and we made them move their stuff out.  The plus side was they already had a pretty good fire started with some nice warm coals.  We were all there except Kale and Jeff, who had to work so they came up a little later.  We had the tents up and the camp set up in no time!  We made scout specials for dinner, my mom's favorite!

We love to eat and had yummy food!  Ky and I had quite the meal plan :)

There was no shortage of people to hold sweet Emma.  (My mom was showing us her muscles in this pic).

We made smokes and read stores and relaxed by the fire!  It was great.

That night was pretty crazy... the campground next to us had their headlights on our tent at like 11pm!  I couldn't sleep anyway.  Emma was in a little bassinet in the tent next to my sleeping bag.  It kept getting colder and colder though.  Then, I heard a huge noise and look out to see a raccoon had gotten into a can of mixed nuts and was pigging out!  I woke up Kylie and Preston, our camp-mates and they went after him, haha!  I had to pee about a million times.  It just kept getting colder and colder and I kept worrying about the baby.  I put her in my sleeping bag but then worried even more.  Finally I ended up in the truck.  I got my mom up at 630 and we talked for a while, then got the camp up and moving and made breakfast.  After hanging out and having breakfast, we packed up and headed down to the reservoir.  Everyone went on the boat to fish except my mom, Ky, me, and Emma.  Sophie had a ton of fun on the boat.  

They didn't have any luck with fish though.  They came back around noon and had lunch, then we headed home.  Although it was short, it was still sweet!

Sweet Emma

Is this the most beautiful baby or what?

We went for a dip in the pool.  Emma's first swim!  She lasted a whole minute or two then she was over it and we just held her.  Goll she is a sweetie.

Lagoon

We went to Lagoon today!  We are so lucky to have gotten season passes again.  It's such a fun activity.  Emma is such a good baby!  Seriously!

Blessing

We blessed Emma today.  Kale did a fabulous job!  He gave such a great blessing to our sweet baby.  She was great and it was a good day to hang out with family and friends after.

This is a very special dress.  My mom MADE it for me to be blessed in 28 years ago... and I was able to bless Sophie and now Emma in the very same dress.  It's so neat!

Emma is such a sweet girl.  She loves to be held and walk around.  She is finally getting content to be in her bouncer sometimes too, which is nice.  Sophie is such a great big sister and such a big helper.  We love our two girls so much!
